Thomas F. Burchill, Managing Partner
Tom is the senior Managing Partner of Silverfern Co-Investment PartnersSM and brings over 15 years of experience in investing and committing equity and debt capital to the SCIP team. Acting as a principal, Tom has completed private equity financings in North America, Europe and Latin America with an aggregate value of over $15 billion, and total corporate acquisition-related financings with an aggregate value of over $36 billion for public and private companies. Through this experience, he has developed an expertise in several industry sectors, including media, consumer products, technology, business services, and general manufacturing.
Prior to joining SCIP, Tom was a Managing Director of SCIP affiliate The Silverfern Group, Inc., prior to which he was a General Partner of Viridian Capital Partners, a firm organized to invest in high growth potential companies in media, branded consumer products and services, and business services. Before Viridian, he held senior positions in the High Yield and Acquisition Finance groups of Banc of America Securities, Credit Suisse First Boston and Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated operating out of New York and London. In 1997, he and his Morgan Stanley deal team won International Finance Review’s (IFR) Latin American Loan and Bond of the Year for the Grupo Transportacion Ferroviaria Mexicana SA de CV (TFM) acquisition financing. Earlier in his career at Chemical Securities, Tom was with Chemical Venture Partners and the Acquisition Finance Group.
Currently, he is on the board of directors of ePALS Classroom Exchange, Inc., a global leader in “student safe” communication and collaboration software, and is a former board member of Verticore Technologies, Inc., an enterprise software developer.
Tom earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Holy Cross College. |
